Are you flirting with me?  That’s what everyone will wonder once you have tried Latisse. Latisse will give you longer, fuller and darker lashes. Latisse is the first and only FDA-approved prescription for short or thin eyelashes. The quest for longer and fuller eyelashes has been known to date back to at least 4000BC when men and women wore “eye paint” for longer looking lashes. Through the 1900’s many eyelash enhancers were invented--Maybelline was the first modern mascara invented in 1913 by TL Williams, who coined the name after his sister, Mabel and vaseline (a main ingredient). The eyelash curler, eyeliner and false eyelashes followed shortly in 1920 with the advancement of film and the quest for more alluring eyelashes. Greta Garbo, Bette Davis and Twiggy are known decades later for their fabulous eyelashes! In recent years we have seen eyelash extensions being offered at many salons. The initial application takes about two hours and costs a little over $200. Every two weeks the eyelash fills run about $45 for maintanance. Longevity varies with each person. Now with Latisse available at $120 for a one month supply, customers are able to acheive longer more luscious eyelashes. It is easy to use without having to make appointments at the salon. Latisse comes with applicator brushes which make it easy to apply and supplies a clean brush for each application. All you need to do is add a drop of the Latisse product to the brush and wipe across your upper lashes after you have removed your makeup at night. Even though the packaging says you will see results in four to six weeks, many people have seen longer lashes in less than a week. Latisse is a prescription medication. It is recommended to avoid using if you have eye infections, broken or irritated upper eyelid skin or are using products for elevated intraocular pressure. Make sure to tell your Plastic Surgeon or Opthamologist if you have any eye or health issues. Otherwise, flirt away with your new lashes from Latisse and eat your heart out Bette Davis. |
